Admission Rules

A) For candidates with Vietnamese nationality, one of the following subjects:

1. Candidates holding one of the following international baccalaureate degrees/certificates:

– International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) with 26 points or more;

– The international certificate of Cambridge University Examinations, UK (Cambridge International Examinations A-Level, UK; hereinafter referred to as A-Level certificate) from C to A.

– Certificate of BTEC (Business & Technical Education Council, British Technical and Commercial Education Council) Level 3 Extended Diploma from C to A.

2. Candidates who graduate from a foreign high school program and have one of the following certificates:

– IELTS certificate of 6.0 or higher.

– TOEFL iBT certificate of 73 points or more.

– SAT certificate (Scholastic Assessment Test, USA) with 500 points or more for each test.

– ACT (American College Testing) certificate from 20 points (point scale 36) or higher.

B) For candidates with different nationalities from Vietnam and foreign high school graduates:

City University of Economics. Ho Chi Minh City applied for admission according to Circular No. 30/2018/TT-BGDDT dated December 24, 2018 on Regulations on management of foreigners studying in Vietnam.

Note: The validity of international certificates is until the date of submission of application for admission.

Admission Requirements

Good students having good conduct in Grades 10, Grade 11 and the 1st semester of Grade 12 which belong to the primary high school program, graduated from high school in 2021.

Admission Rules

Admission scores are the total points converted from 04 following criteria including 01 compulsory criteria and 03 optional ones:

• Compulsory criteria: The average score of Grade 10, Grade 11 and the 1st semester of Grade 12 meet the criteria for Good Student Admission Method.

• Optional criteria:

– Students having international English certificates within the time limit (up to the date of application) equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or higher.

– Students who won the first, second or third prize of Excellent Students Selection Exams at provincial and city level (under the jurisdiction of the central) in: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Philology, Computing. – Students of specialized/gifted high schools.

Admission Requirements

Students with the average score of admission groups (A00, A01, D01 or D07) from 6.50 or higher for grades 10, 11 and the 1st semester of grade 12 belonging to the primary high school program; graduated from high school.

For example: Students who choose A00 admission group: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry to apply for admission must satisfy the conditions:

+ GPA of A00 admission group (Grade 10) = [(Mathematics 10 + Physics 10 + Chemistry 10)/3] >=6.50

+ GPA of A00 admission group (Grade 11) = [(Mathematics 11 + Physics 11 + Chemistry 11)/3] >=6.50

+ GPA of A00 admission group (The 1st semester of Grade 12) = [(Mathematics 12 + Physics 12 + Chemistry 12)/3] >=6.50
