Direct entry to top 1% universities with Global Pathways

Global Pathways is a direct-entry program to bachelor degree abroad, designed for talented students and by the top 1% universities. Students have one period studying at the International School of Business, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH-ISB), then transfer to study and graduate from top universities around the world.

Global Pathways gives students access to Western educational systems and modern learning methodologies of international standards. It maximizes students’ potential and helps them achieve the best results when studying abroad. Students are encouraged to set their career goals and build a clear career plan early on while studying. The program also helps students easily integrate into international society and have meaningful study-abroad experience.

Global Pathways Program

  • Stage 1 (studying at UEH-ISB, Vietnam): Students are equipped with foundational knowledge and skills to succeed in Stage 2 – studying abroad.
  • Stage 2 (studying abroad): Students transfer to continue their study at and obtain a degree from one of the Top 1% universities in Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

The total studying time for two stages is 3 years if students choose to study in Australia or New Zealand, or 4 years if students choose to study in Canada. There are currently 17 universities, with multiple majors and study-abroad models, for students to choose from.

Admission Requirements

Stage 1: Studying in Vietnam

Academic requirements:

  • High school GPAs that meet Global Pathways entry requirements or;
  • Results that meet entry requirements to a Bachelor degree at some selected universities in Vietnam or;
  • Results of the General Ability Test by the Vietnam National University, HCMC that meet Global Pathways entry requirements or;
  • Results of the National High School Exam that meet Global Pathways entry requirements or;
  • Transferring from domestic and international universities (considered on case by case basis).

English requirements:

  • International English certificate that is equivalent to IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (component scores 6.0) or;
  • Global Pathways English placement test.

Enrolment Intakes

Stage 1: Studying in Vietnam

  • January Intake – Application deadline: December 20, 2022
  • May Intake – Application deadline: May 01, 2023
  • September Intake – Application deadline: August 28, 2023

Stage 2: Studying abroad

  • Universities in Australia: February or July intake
  • Universities in New Zealand: February or July intake
  • Universities in Canada: September intake

Scholarships

Global Pathways offers a wide range of scholarships for both the study periods in Vietnam and abroad, levitating the costs of studying for students.

Criteria are based on 1: Studying in Vietnam

  • Scholarship for Year 1 (Apply for the first 3 trimesters, minimum 8 subjects and maximum 12 subjects): 20%-75% tuition fee reduction. Criteria are based on high school academic results and international English certificate equivalent to IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (component scores 6.0) or higher.
  • Scholarship for Year 2 (Apply for the next subjects, maximum the next 3 trimesters or 12 subjects): 30%-50% tuition reduction. Criteria are based on Year 1’s GPA, and Pearson Test of English (PTE) increasing at least 1 level compared to the entry requirement level.
